I was able to plan how to step up my social media game after completing this Pinterest assignment. Although I manage multiple Instagram accounts, I’ve noticed a recent decline in story views. I know my inconsistent posting plays a role, but using these Pinterest resources has provided actionable steps to get back on track. In particular, Chapter 5 of my course, especially Learning Objective 8, details content strategy in a way that feels manageable. I plan to implement what I’ve learned to improve engagement on my accounts.
To reach my first objective of boosting story views, I’m applying content strategy concepts from Chapter 5. A key takeaway from this is the importance of consistency and variation. Instead of posting sporadically, I’ll create a plan for different story content types, such as behind-the-scenes, quick polls, or previews of future posts. I think this strategy will keep my audience engaged and encourage them to check back frequently for new updates.
Another critical part of this assignment is Chapter 2, Unit 1, which covers how to develop a personal brand. I want to build a cohesive personal brand that feels authentic and meaningful, not just manage accounts for fun. Creating a consistent message and style helps followers recognize my content across platforms, which builds stronger audience connections. This chapter outlines the steps to ensure I professionally represent myself and my goals.
Chapter 5, Concept 8, discusses effective hashtag use, which is vital for expanding reach without overusing tags. With different niches across my accounts, I sometimes struggle with hashtag strategies. This chapter clarified which hashtags work best for each type of content, helping me balance reach and relevance without overloading my posts.
I chose these Pinterest resources because I use Instagram regularly and know these strategies will improve my accounts. Pinterest turned out to be an excellent tool for finding tips and hacks to strengthen my social media approach. I’ll definitely keep using it to stay updated on social media trends.
