When trying to find a job to start your career has the possibility of social media ever crossed your mind? What once seemed like a dream to most teenagers has become a reality. Growing up with social media makes the younger generations highly sought after in marketing. With most companies using social media to advertise their products and promote their brand, everyone needs someone who understands social media and who better to manage it than the people who have been using it their entire lives.
No matter what field of business you want to go into you will find yourself doing something related to social media. Whether you are in charge of the Marketing campaign and have to figure out your advertising plan, or you are trying to fix a media disaster where someone posted the wrong thing on Twitter. This is much different than about 20 years ago when the advertising team was trying to get a 30-second ad between SpongeBob episodes.

I couldn't agree more! Social media has totally taken over the whole dynamic and has changed the structure of how we do many things in today's world. Companies need to make sure they have a good social media presence to stay relevant. Growing up with social media and always being intact with different platforms, I feel confident when I think about my decision to pursue a career in marketing. The power of social media is great!
