Fall Break

Fall Break comes at a significant time for students; it arrives right in the middle of the semester, providing everyone with a much-needed respite from school. The stress and weight of the semester can be considerable, especially after about seven weeks of continuous coursework. The four-day break presents an excellent opportunity for students and teachers alike to refresh and recharge.

Day 1: A Perfect Start

On the first day of my break, I woke up at about 4 p.m., perfectly aligning with my desire to reset my sleep schedule. I decided that the best thing I could do for myself was to relax as much as possible, and that is precisely what I did. I woke up just in time to grab some wings and settle in to watch the Buckeyes game on TV. Unfortunately, the game was quite disappointing, leading me to feel exhausted again. By the end of the day, my total awake time was likely around five hours. This initial day truly set a positive tone for the remainder of my break, allowing me to fully embrace relaxation.

Day 2: Family Time and Movies

The next day, I managed to get up early, around 11 a.m. I drove straight to see my dad to watch the Browns game, hoping to salvage my weekend after the Buckeyes' performance. After enduring the Browns playing like a junior high team, I decided to spend the rest of the day binge-watching scary movies with my dad. Although nothing is scarier than the Browns' offense, I figured that The Terrifier would provide a good challenge. We watched both the first and second movies; they were indeed horrifying, but luckily, I was somewhat desensitized after watching the Browns.

Day 3: Health and Movies

On the third day, I had to address a couple of responsibilities, starting with getting oil for my car. Unlike the Browns, I prefer to fix problems as they arise. Afterward, I had a doctor's appointment where I learned that the knee pain I was experiencing was due to my knee being out of place. Fortunately, the doctor was able to put it back into place, which felt amazing. To celebrate my bravery, my mom treated me to ice cream. Later, we watched Deadpool vs. Wolverine, which turned out to be an entertaining movie. My brother attempted to convince me to watch Annabelle, but I had to decline—dolls are simply too scary.

Conclusion

Overall, my fall break was quite enjoyable! It allowed me to relax, spend quality time with my family, and even address some health concerns. The combination of relaxation and adventure made for a memorable time, preparing me to tackle the rest of the semester with renewed energy.
