live tweeting

For my homecoming event, I decided to attend the Student Planning Committee's Hidden Klondike event because I searched for homecoming activities and selected the earliest event I could find. The next day, I realized that I might not have chosen one of the events I was supposed to attend, but since I needed a post the day before, I decided to go with it.

The Hidden Klondike event was hosted by the Student Planning Committee, where they hid five Klondikes around campus for a chance to win special prizes. The prizes were impressive and included Beats headphones and a $150 shopping spree at the library. I was very excited to find some Klondikes and win some prizes, but things didn't go as planned.

When I woke up at 7:30 a.m., I started my search at 8:00 a.m., but I was greeted by rain, which made the search more challenging. I decided to look around the tundra until the rain intensified, forcing me to continue my search by car. I drove a few laps around campus but didn’t spot any polar bears. Once the rain subsided, I returned to search through the woods near the disc golf holes.

I searched for the polar bears everywhere I went that day but did not end up finding any. The polar bears must have been very well-hidden. I spent about four hours of my day looking for the Klondikes to win some prizes, but I was never able to find one. Overall, it was a very disappointing day in my attempt to win prizes.

This assignment helped me understand how challenging it is to live-tweet an event. I feel like I improved my ability to provide live updates for people to follow. The assignment was really enjoyable, and I had a great time keeping people informed about the Hidden Klondikes. I asked people to message me if they found one, but no one did, so I guess I will never know if someone found a Klondike.
