Starting my first week on campus is always exciting. Getting to be back around friends and having fun in Ada again. The first thing that needed to be done was to go to El Campo and get some food because that is the only way to arrive back in Ada. The toughest part of getting back to school is adjusting to the schedule, over the summer sleeping in tends to become the new norm for me. Once my body gets adjusted to getting up at nine o'clock in the morning it is not so bad but until that happens I am sleepwalking around campus. Getting the motivation to eat breakfast in the morning is the next step to getting adjusted to campus life. Every day I watch the clock to decide if I have enough time but every day I could easily do it if I just got up a little earlier. I am learning to love my air fryer which gets the most use of any appliance in my room. I don't even know why they have an oven in my room its never going to get used unless I suddenly decide to bake a cake for fun. I have learned a lot about myself through the first week, like the fact that I can survive off mini corndogs, Bodyarmour, and Redbull. I can not wait to see what else I learn about myself this semester and am very excited to see how it goes!
My transition back to school like most, has been the same in many ways. On my first day back, I made sure to hit El Campo as well. Adjusting my sleep schedule hasn't been anything easy either, it seemingly always takes me a week or two to truly get used to waking up earlier than I once was in the summer. Mini corndogs and Redbull sound like a solid diet, I have been running on chicken nuggets and Sprite. Let's see how long that lasts for the both of us!
